Although the original Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood had seven members, only three of them were painters of note. They were Rossetti, Millais, and Holman Hunt.
James Collinson resigned in order to embrace Catholicism, Thomas Woolner travelled to Australia and had a career in England later on in portrait sculpting, Frederick George Stephens became a teacher, and William Michael Rossettti acted as the group's secretary and historian.

John Everett Millais

I have included Ford Madox Brown in this wing of the gallery, even though he was not a member of the Brotherhood. He was a strong influence on the younger artists that formed the group, and the most important artist outside the core Pre-Raphaelites.
